Cathleen Pigg, MPT, brings more than 22 years of experience helping patients move better, feel stronger, and return to the activities they value most. She earned her BA in Psychology from the University of Virginia and her Master’s in Physical Therapy from Western Carolina University. Her background includes inpatient rehabilitation, acute care, and outpatient physical therapy.

Cathleen takes a whole-body approach to care. Rather than focusing only on the area of pain, she looks at how the entire body is moving and where weakness, compensation, or imbalance may be contributing to the problem. In many traditional settings, treatment is often limited to a single body part. Cathleen works differently, aiming to understand the root cause of pain and address the larger movement patterns affecting strength, function, and recovery.

Her treatment style combines manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, movement-based care, and patient education. She creates individualized plans based on each person’s history, goals, and overall function rather than using a one-size-fits-all approach. By addressing systemic imbalances and treating the body as an interconnected system, Cathleen helps patients improve mobility, build lasting strength, and support long-term healing.
